Do I need ETIAS?
Check the main eligibility path without entering passport details.
Read the guideShort answer (updated Oct 29, 2026): You don’t need ETIAS for a trip to Europe right now. It hasn’t launched, there’s no official start date, and the EU has said it will give several months’ notice. When it opens, it will cost €20 and be valid for 3 years. EES, the fingerprint and photo check at the border, has been fully live since April 10, 2026.
Choose four trip details. Get a plain-English, source-backed EES and ETIAS check—without creating an account or entering passport information.
